CALL TO ACTION: TELL BERNIE SANDERS TO INCLUDE VACCINE INJURY RESEARCH IN HIS LONG COVID SUPPORT BILL.

The political landscape for the Covid vaccine injured continues to be fueled by patient segregation and vaccine injury discrimination in not only legal avenues but also medical care and research. Funding for Long Covid research has successfully led to over $1 Billion being issued by the NIH. Federal research funding decisions have been worked to include non-Covid related syndromes, while at the same time specifically excluding Covid vaccine injuries. 

THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. IT'S UP TO US TO TELL THEM SO.

Until Tuesday night, Bernie Sanders (chair of the important Senate HELP Committee) is accepting feedback on his latest Long Covid Moonshot support legislation. In the bill, the term "infection-associated chronic conditions" is frequently employed to guide research funding and patient collaborative leadership. However, this term employed in a manner of inclusion of other chronic conditions, and dangerously excludes our membership—Covid vaccine injured who are the collateral damage of the pandemic.

What complicates this further is a ME/CFS advocacy group is sending in thousands of letters in support of ME/CFS research being included, and furthermore working to ensure this, NOT vaccine injury, is included in research steering committees,. Their response is leaving us in an even weaker position to be included.

It is up to us to make our wishes known, to ensure the vaccine injured are not excluded once again.
