React19 Surpasses $1 Million in Grants to COVID-19 Vaccine Injured Patients
Milwaukee, Wisconsin: January 16, 2025 — React19 is proud to announce a significant milestone in its mission to support individuals suffering from COVID-19 vaccine injuries. On Thursday, January 16, the organization’s Advisory Board approved the latest round of grants to CARE Fund recipients, bringing the total amount disbursed to over $1 million since the Fund’s inception.
This achievement far surpasses the support provided by government programs for COVID-19 vaccine-injured individuals and underscores the vital role that grassroots organizations like React19 play in addressing gaps in care and resources. Despite this success, React19’s CARE Fund remains critically underfunded to meet the growing demand for assistance, with thousands of individuals still waiting for help.
React19 Co-Chair Dr. Joel Wallskog, an orthopedic surgeon who was injured by the Moderna vaccine and has been a vocal advocate for vaccine-injured individuals, expressed his gratitude and determination to continue the organization’s work: "Reaching this milestone is both a testament to the generosity of our donors and a sobering reminder of the systemic failure to adequately support COVID-19 vaccine-injured patients. At React19, we are committed to providing care, hope, and a voice to those who have been marginalized and ignored. We will not rest until every injured individual receives the recognition, care, and compensation they deserve."
The React19 CARE Fund provides financial assistance for medical treatments, therapies, and other critical needs for individuals impacted by vaccine injuries. React19 has been a lifeline for thousands of people who have faced mounting medical bills and insufficient government support.
The organization credits its donors, volunteers, and advocates for helping achieve this remarkable milestone but emphasizes the urgent need for more support to meet the growing demand for assistance.
