What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?

I was in okay shape as 60 yo man. I am overweight. I’m not sure if the original two doses of the vaccine affected me. I got a booster in November 2021 and by December I found I was unable to turn a screwdriver. I have since been diagnosed with the autoimmune disease Myositis.

Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.

Since December 2021 I have good days and bad days. My ex-wife is experienced with autoimmune disease and got me on methotrexate by February 2022. I can tell it’s helping because my legs don’t feel like they are melting.

I’m trying to work out in the morning before work. I cannot walk around the block and my grip strength loss has me dropping things often.

Describe the solutions that helped your symptoms

Which solutions were not helpful?

I haven’t really been offered much

What would you like others to know?

There are really no cures available for autoimmune diseases. I’m researching as much as possible to find things that might help. Right now I’m taking tons of supplements including mushroom supplements. I’m also starting high dose vitamin D3 and vitamin K2.
