What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?

Myself & my 2 Sons have Diagnoses of hEDS, POTS, MCAS. Despite this, I have always been hyperactive with an official diagnosis of ADHD. I had been hospitalized in June & July, after having a catastrophic fall from my horse. I had 12 crushed ribs on my right side. This was followed by 2 x right lung collapses one after the other. I was discharged in late July. While only having 75% lung capacity due to scarring was definitely impacting my energy levels, I felt as though I was improving with each day.

Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.

My first dose of Pfizer was on 08 August '21.

I awoke at 4am the next day with a really sore arm. This wasn't alarming in itself, but I had hot and cold chills, a severe headache, Vertigo & I could not get out of bed for 5 days. My 14yo Son had to care for me.

After the 5 days I felt better, but the Vertigo persisted and I was still chronically fatigued.

It is worth mentioning that both these symptoms can be attributed to my POTS & lung capacity, but my POTS was never this bad even as a Teenager, which is when symptoms peak usually in hEDS Patients. The fatigue was far worse than pre Pfizer shot no# 1.

My 2nd dose of Pfizer was on 01 September. This time my arm was not sore at all the next morning, so I was hopeful that this would be easier. Unfortunately another 5 days in bed was necessary, with the same symptoms, same severity.

The Vertigo & fatigue continued.

On Friday 17 September I went to bed as normal, woke up at around 11.30pm needing to go to the bathroom. I got out of bed, made it to the kitchen doorway & realized I was 'whiting out'. I remember trying to grab the door frame.....I woke up covered in blood. Not sure how long I was out for, but my Son called an Ambulance. I stayed in hospital overnight & required plastic surgery the following day to close a gash on my forehead that was down to my skull. The medical staff did not believe me when I told them that this was vaccine related.

I did some forensic investigating when I got home. I could conclude that from the kitchen doorway, I had 'dead fainted' from standing upright. My head hit the wall next to my Son's bedroom approximately 20cm above the skirting. My exact body length.

I am still extremely fatigued, but I think the POTS is settling down.

I hate being tired all the time. I want my hyperactivity back.

Describe the solutions that helped your symptoms

I was hoping to find some here, haha I guess it was helpful when a GP concluded that I had a, "Rare & Severe reaction to the Pfizer Vaccine". His advice was to rest.

Which solutions were not helpful?

I haven't been offered any solutions

What would you like others to know?

I guess I would like the medical community to know that there are people who are not Anti Vaxxers, that have dutifully had the Vaccine and for some reason or other, i.e. pre existing conditions etc, are having medical issues that were not previously present, or are worsened considerably.
