What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?

Perfect, healthy, and care-free.

Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.

I had 2 Moderna vaccines. My first dose was March 15th 2021, and my second dose was April 27th 2021. I didn't want to get the second dose because the first dose made me feel very strange and tired after I got it for a long time, which is why I delayed getting the second dose. I went against my better judgment when my parents told me the right thing to do was to get the second dose. Boy, do I feel this is the worst decision I've ever made in my life. My symptoms began two days after my second dose. I had extremely dry eyes with red blood vessels in them. They burn and sting on a daily basis. My left eyelid is swollen and pink, as well as the membrane in the inner corner of that eye. My left eye is worse, and that's the side that I got both of my vaccines in. I've seen an ophthalmologist and multiple optometrists, and they do not give me a diagnosis or tell me what's going on. I asked them if it could be vaccine-related and they all denied it. I think it's too coincidental that it took place two days after my second dose. We are now two years since I've gotten the vaccine and I'm still having these SAME symptoms like the second day after my first dose. I have tried a couple of treatments such as Cequa and Restasis eye drops for dry eyes, but nothing is really having a lasting effect. I got my blood levels tested to see if anything was elevated or abnormal as well, from two primary care physicians... and I do have very high Rheumatoid Factor. Neither of the physicians seems to be very concerned that it is anything to worry about. The second physician that I saw did not want to retest my blood level. I am sure it is still elevated. I believe I'm going to have to suffer with this for the rest of my life unless I can find a diagnosis somewhere and find a medication that might help me. I am no longer able to wear contact lenses, and am afraid to get Lasik surgery (which I had planned to do,) because of my condition. I am stuck in glasses now. I still have hope that I can one day get help. I wonder how many other people also have eye issues caused by Moderna and Pfizer vaccines? I'm thinking it's something autoimmune-related, I did have one optometrist mention that he thinks it looks like it could be autoimmune, but much to my bewilderment, he didn't elaborate on that ...and I didn't ask about it further. I didn't want him to change the subject, which I felt he would do if I pushed the subject further.

Describe the solutions that helped your symptoms

Cequa and Restasis eye drops, Refresh Plus eye drops, fish oil pills 2x daily, and ginger and turmeric supplements.

Which solutions were not helpful?

Pataday eye drops, which I tried after the first optometrist I saw thought it could be an allergy, benadryl, loratidine allergy pills.

What would you like others to know?

Don't take this unsafe therapeutic with marginal testing and trials!!!
