What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?

Walking 5 miles a day, hiking, taking conditioning and yoga classes at the Y. Had just returned from a 5 week, 4500 mile road trip, tent camping and hiking through 7 states.

Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.

Within 24 hr, my left arm was so painful, I couldn't even touch it. My lymph gland under left arm swelled to size of a macadamian nut. 3 days later, my hips, knees, big toes, right thumb (had dislocated the thumb 9 months before but was back to normal) had all swelled up.

The lymph gland took approx. 4 months to return to normal.

My knees returned to normal within a few weeks, as did my left hip.

I continue to have swelling in big toes about once a week.

The swelling in right thumb and joint continues to have swelling about once a week.

The issue with my right hip is ongoing. I couldn't walk without pain for 3 months. It slowly had better days than others with the level of pain.

I resumed classes at the Y after 3 months but still cannot walk normally. So no hiking, snowshoeing or walking 5 miles a day-or any walking for exercise.

Describe the solutions that helped your symptoms

Nothing helped The issues that resolved, did so on their own.

What would you like others to know?

I didn't want to take any shot. However, in order to visit my loved ones, who were older than myself and living where proof of shots was needed, I took the shots. I wanted to be able to make the choice if I got the shots or not. I felt I was forced into having them. I WILL NOT be getting any boosters, even if it means that I can't visit my loved ones. I am fearful of how my body will react if it gets more of whatever is in that shot.
