What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?
Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.
I had a severe reaction to the 2nd Moderna vaccine. The first vaccine I received on 1/7/21, I experience no symptoms but the 2nd vaccine was horrible. Within a few minutes of getting the 2nd vaccine on February 5th, 2021, my heart started to race and I felt like I was trembling all over. I had about a 40 minute drive to get home after receiving the vaccine and by the time I got home I collapsed in bed moaning from extreme body aches. My legs were shacking so bad my daughter held them down to weigh them. I felt like I truly was dying. I had 101 fever and chills and severe body aches like nothing I had ever experienced before in my life. Since I didn't want to take any pain reliever ( because at that time they were advising against it ( they meaning the CDC) to help with the symptoms I tried to bear it. I was bedridden for 24 hours ( moaning and trembling) and then I couldn't take the pain any more and started taking Naproxen the 2nd day. After my 2nd dose of Naproxen the extreme body aches, fever and trembling started to subside. I would have gone to the emergency room sooner but for the risk of possibly contracting Covid -19. That's the only thing that stopped me. The symptoms were so severe it took me almost week to really start to feel better. Then around my birthday 2 weeks later, I had a very odd cardiac episode where my heart started pounding, not fast just a deep pounding sensation. It woke me up out of my sleep and I remember sitting up for a few hours until it started to go away. Since Feb 2021, the heart pounding episodes have increased. I have seen to 2 cardiologist to try and figure out what this sensation is that I am feeling and since all the tests have come back normal, the cardiologists dismiss my symptoms as being a benign occurrence. I continue to have these episode many times daily. They are the worst when I lay down and change positions bt they also happen when I am sitting up too. They do not get worse with exercise or say sitting quite. The pounding heart beat just comes on without warning. I would like to know what the heck is going on with my heart and when I looked at the time line of when this all started, it was about 2 weeks after the 2nd vaccination. I have since had a booster in September 2021 and did not have any significant reaction as I experienced with the 2nd vaccine.
