What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?

I was a Healthcare worker, home Healthcare, as a domestic help, cleaning houses of old and/or sick people . I was incredibly fit and muscular, I worked out 5 days a week, mostly weight lifting. I was also a model and a photographer. I had no underlying medical problems, I was probably one of the healthiest people I knew. I was planning to become a nurse through my employer, they offered the education for free.

Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.

I got the shot on the 13th of March. A week later I got really sick, severe headache and vomiting for several days. Went to the ER, they didn't take it seriously and sent me home. 5 days later I collapsed because I had a severe hemorrhagic stroke and my left side got paralyzed. I was rushed to the hospital for an emergency craniotomy (brain surgery), then they discovered the pulmonary embolisms. I spent a month in the hospital before being transferred to a rehab clinic. I spent 3 months there as inpatient and another 3 months as outpatient before being allowed to go home. I was completely paralyzed on the left side, but I relearned how to stand, sit and walk again. I walk relatively well but my arm and hand function are ruined. I can't stretch my fingers or fully stretch my arm. I did improve my hand function which allowed me to get another 3 months of outpatient therapy. I can now put my hair in a ponytail and I can knit again! My stroke has been officially diagnosed as being caused by astrazeneca. It's the side effect VITT. Low platelets and thrombosis.

Describe the solutions that helped your symptoms

Intense neurorehab.

What would you like others to know?

Don't just naively get the shot. I got it because I worked in Healthcare and wanted to protect my clients. I am officially diagnosed by a doctor and the Dutch version of Vaers has officially recognized it as a side effect of astrazeneca. If someone tells you they were injured by the covid shot, please don't doubt them, even if they don't have an official diagnosis.
