What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?

Normal

Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.

Urticaria (hives), dermatographia, sharp and severe stomach pains. These all started 8 days after the booster and progressively worsened over the ensuing weeks. Initially type 1 and type 2 antihistamines worked to control symptoms. But, needed to be increased over time to address breakthrough eruptions. After 11 weeks was put on cyclosporine which helped for 6 weeks, but then more breakthrough eruptions happened and antihistamines were added. After 6 months I was started on Ivermectin by a private doctor. This has helped, but must also take Quercetin and Zinc. Breakthrough eruptions still happen if I miss a dose or experience significant stress.

Still seeking answers as urticaria appears to be a fairly common side effect to the mRNA vaccines.

Describe the solutions that helped your symptoms

See above.

Which solutions were not helpful?

See description above.

What would you like others to know?

Urticaria and dermatographia are real possibilities from the mRNA vaccines. The hives can effect you from short-term to long-term (greater than 6 months). Research into cause and possible treatments is needed!
