What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?

I was very active, I trained horses, managed our horse farm, enjoyed being active with my grandkids, motorcycle riding with my husband and had a job away from home.

Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.

I had immediate numbness and tingling in my arm and hand. Within 24 hours I could not walk 3 feet without falling. I had to have a coworker drive me home from work. I had severe neurological problems for about 2 weeks. I had nerve “shocks” throughout my entire body. I had pain in every area that I’ve had past injuries and I was so weak I couldn’t ion a bottle of water. My balance improved very slowly over months but then I started having severe heart palpitations. My Dr had me west a monitor and within days, I was called and told to go to the ER because I had a cardiac event. Two days in the hospital and lots of tests revealed nothing. The palpitations also slowly subsided, but most recently I have been experiencing brain fog, my short term memory is not great. Overall, now eight months later, on my best days, I’m about 75-80% of the person I used to be. Those good days are about 2-3 days a week.

I won’t get on a horse or motorcycle, I don’t babysit my grandkids, we’ve had to hire help on the farm and have started selling horses.

Describe the solutions that helped your symptoms

Nothing. Time alone, has brought some improvement but I’m not even close to being the person I was.

Which solutions were not helpful?

Medications

What would you like others to know?

I was not anti or pro vaccine. I got vaccinated because the University where I worked strongly pressured us. My supervisor actually told me, after hearing of my adverse reaction, that now the rest of our group probably won’t get vaccinated, because of me.
