I have not had a vaccine partly because I have severe chemical reactions to many drugs, but also because of an experience I had as a vaccine clinic organizer.

I had moved to Vermont in 2019 to work as a Sash Coordinator in a small Vermont town. I was responsible for 80 individuals who were elderly. (Low income)

When the pandemic started I witnessed isolation and an increase in medical and mental health issues.

When the state started rolling out the vaccine plan I was contacted by my supervisor and asked to organize clinics at my participants apartment buildings. It was an opportunity to help people get “their lives back.”

Approximately 5 days after the first clinic, 2 of my participants had strokes. One died within a few weeks and the other died 4 months later. I tried to pass this information on, I called the hospitals, I attempted to talk to medical professionals but I was met with, “they were older and had underlying medical conditions.” That may or may not be true. My biggest concern is that no one seems to be gathering this data. If I had 2 out of 80 in a small town in Vermont died after their vaccine it seems likely many others have died. Thanks for letting me vent. It’s been hard to hold onto this information. (I work at Redmond Senior Center and I don’t think it would be a good idea for people to hear this story from me, as I could lose my job if they mandate vaccines) thanks Josie
