Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.

"8/23/21

I received my first Moderna dose on 7/24 after receiving a negative antibody test that morning. 3 hours after my shot, I went on a 2 mile easy hike and noticed slight tingling and burning in both calves. I shrugged it off thinking it was just a side effect. It went away in about 5 days. 2 weeks later I was hiking uphill and felt as though bees were stinging me intensely on both calves however there were no bees to be found. After this hike the stinging and burning sensation disseminated all over my body. I have been dealing with this pain ever since and it never stops. It varies in intensity so there are some hours in the day in which I get a little break I saw my primary doctor last week and she had not heard of this type of reaction to the shot. She is going to test for autoimmune antibodies, and any other conditions that might contribute to nerve pain. I am worried I may have some kind of permanent nerve damage. There was nothing wrong with my nerves prior. My doctor advised me not to get the second dose. I am thinking of trying acupuncture or other alternative therapies. If anyone has any advice please let me know
