Vaccine Injury Testimonial

Vaccine Injury of Barbara Anne Denney

What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?

I had fibromyalgia before the vaccine. I had a "possible" MS diagnosis when I was 26 but symptoms went away when I was about 30. I got my degree, I could play with the grandkids. I hurt but not badly. Brain fog could be cured with a nap. I was actually doing pretty well, even with the fibro.

Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.

I took the second covid shot in March 2021. I noticed weakness about 3 weeks after it. I tried to keep going. Brain fog got worse as the time wore on. My pain levels got much higher and I would walk the floor and cry from the cramps...when I could walk. I had headaches. Then they told us that if you were over 60, you needed to take the 3rd shot. We did it, even though the first 2 had messed me up. I didn't know at the time it was the cause. Almost a week after the third shot, I was having very severe pain and walking was getting harder. I went into a wheelchair that I had had in 2015 but didn't use but when the fibro made me dizzy or tired. I have had trouble walking since then, I'm on a cane a lot of the time for just around the house, but out, I need a wheelchair or I can't walk far. I tire out very quickly, I have to sit down or I fear I will fall. And this made it difficult for me to help take care of my husband when he got worse from his shot. I struggle to get through the day now and I can't sleep for the pain levels, which are worse at night.

Describe the solutions that helped your symptoms

Pain meds. I'm on 5, big doses. Rest. Cane or wheelchair. Sleep when I can.

Which solutions were not helpful?

Being told it's not from the shot. Having trouble with doctors who don't want to think this is real. Telling me I need other shots like the shingles, flu, or pneumonia shots. I can't trust them anymore.

What would you like others to know?

If you are having trouble, find a doctor who will listen to you. Make time to rest.
