Moderna vaccines were administered Dec 2020, Jan 2021. booster Nov 2021
I experienced some odd sx off and on since the vaccines but nothing that kept me from work or enjoying life
immediately following vaccine administration (within hours) I developed a tingling sensation around my chin, lower jaw and neck area. this worsened with each shot and after the booster lasted for a few months.
had a sudden acute onset of a myriad of sx June 19, 2023
several ER visits followed June and July 2023, hospitalization July 2023
dx with thyroiditis, recovered from that, some other sx persisted then worsened
more ER visits Jan 2024, hospitalization Jan 2024
connected to all kinds of specialists - cardiology, endocrinology, rheumatology, OBGYN, PT, chiropractic care, massage therapy, acupuncture, neurology, GI
by process of elimination and 1.5 yrs of testing and medical work ups. found the root cause to be covid vaccine injury. high spike protein, high sars covid antibodies in system. multi system effects within my body.
I went from a fully functioning healthy vibrant young adult female working full time and taking care of my family and enjoying life to totally debilitated in a day.
My symptoms came on suddenly and acutely mid-June 2023. Then they slowly improved over the course of the next 3-6 months (after being diagnosed with and treated for acute viral thyroiditis) before symptoms resurged suddenly and acutely again in January 2024. I had been getting worked up in the community by my primary care doctor , cardiologist , endocrinologist , rheumatologist , and OBGYN and no one could figure out why the symptoms persisted and/or recurred . Next steps in my mind were neurology and GI treatment however, my PCP encouraged the local hospital or Mayo Clinic . We were wondering about MS or other potential rare neurological or endocrinological conditions . I had a whole battery of symptoms ranging from the areas of cardiology , endocrinology and neurology as stated above. Symptoms came on abruptly June 2023; not slowly over time . Pain was off the charts . Greater than 10 on a 1-10 scale . I’ve never had an issue dealing with pain . I typically handle pain pretty well . After multiple outpatient doctor visits, ER visits and hospital admissions I was dx with thyroiditis . I was out of work for 3 mos June - Sept 2023 . Seemed to improve over the course of 3-6 months and then began to decline again and symptoms increased substantially. By January 2024 I was back in doctor offices regularly, and back in the ERs and hospitals .
Describe the solutions that helped your symptoms
holistic care. western and eastern medicine tx. homeopathic care. a combination of everything and all medical specialties assisting
Which solutions were not helpful?
how long it took to move through each specialty area and all of the required testing and labwork. endocrinology especially. which repeated work ups over the course of 3 mos and could not determine root cause of my high cortisol, pain and litany of other sx. did not find any sx relief with them
was living in significant pain, could not sleep, had no appetite, was losing weight
What would you like others to know?
how difficult this is to dx and then treat because there is not much information out there for drs and for us patients. it took 1.5 yrs and a whole host of providers to rule things in and out and get to a proper dx and tx plan. lived in significant pain for many many months. unable to work for 9 mos of it.
I just kept hope alive and was praying and practicing meditations and growing spiritually. you will get to the end of it. you will get some sx relief and some help. patience is essential.
