Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.

I am 64 year old male. I was very healthy and on no prescriptions medications prior to having had the Johnson and Johnson Covid vaccine.

On April 5, 2021 I received the Johnson and Johnson Covid Vaccine at work. My employer had a vaccination clinic scheduled at the work site for those who wanted the shot. I signed up, mostly out of a feeling of obligation.

The next day on April 6th I lost bladder control. I was shocked. This had never happened to me before. Over the course of the next few days, I had ED, and my legs and hips felt heavy and uncomfortable.

My wife had come down ill shortly after my Covid vaccination. She later tested positive for Covid. All the while she was not well, I continued to have more medical problems that I had never experienced before. I began to have an odd feeling of pressure around my hips, like a belt was cinched around them and was being squeezed tighter and tight.

By the 11th of April I went to the ER. When I went into the ER, I explained that I had received the J & J vaccine and described what had happened. I had also asked for a Covid test, considering my wife had tested positive. The medical team said I had no symptoms of Covid, so no test was needed. Eventually, they tested me for Covid and I was positive. The doctors did an MRI and found nothing. They sent me home with a discharge note saying that follow up was needed in two weeks for possible Guillain-Barre and demyelination.

I am a farmer with cattle and irrigation that needs taken care of; I continued to work the entire time after receiving the vaccination and positive Covid test.

April 14, 2021 I went to bed after a bath and woke at 2:00 am April 15, 2021 paralyzed from the waist down. I went by ambulance to the same ER that sent me home 4 days earlier. I spent 33 days in Boise's St Lukes, 44 days in Boise's St Al's rehab and 30 days in Salt Lake City's University of Utah's Craig Neilson's Rehab Hospital.

I had a blood clot in my calf muscle, which omitted treatment of IVIG. My spine swelled up so much, it hemorrhaged. I asperated on water given to me by a speech therapist and ended up in ICU on a ventilator for two weeks. I had severe bed sores and pressure sores cause from neglect and this hindered my physical therapy. After all this, I am still paralyzed from the diaphragm down, with no sensation.

There was extreme delay in figuring out what was wrong, simply because the medical field is in complete denial that the Johnson and Johnson Covid vaccine caused the damage to me. The doctors have been trying very hard to determine what was wrong with me prior to the vaccine in hopes of placing the blame on me and not the vaccine. So far, they can find no fault in me however, they are still denying the possibility my medical problems were caused by the J & J Covid vaccine.

My employer cut me loose after I was discharged from the hospitals. I have not had to look for a job in over 40 years and now I am looking for one that requires a new skill set.

I am still in physical therapy, working at getting stronger in body. I am thankful I have a very supportive family and friends that help keep my attitude positive.

I wish for no one else to ever have experience what I and my family have gone through. Hopefully, by sharing my story someone of authority just may begin to believe the Covid vaccines are not entirely safe for everyone. Maybe the government could see to help those damaged.
