Daniel Shannon
What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?
Great. .I was in great health and very active with minimal health issues. I owned and operated a demanding, successful, small business. I have been extremely happily married for 38 years, have three successful sons, and 4 grandchildren. I downhill skied at an advanced expert level, bicycled, and kayaked for recreation.
Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.
I received the fist Pfizer booster on October 8th 2021. On the next day I experienced an intense burning sensation across my chest and back. That pain progressed incrementally, until my entire upper body felt as though it was on fire. I also developed tinnitus, which is very bothersome. My internist had no idea what was wrong with me, as did a pain specialist who performed 2 bilateral epidural injections near my shoulder blades. I was prescribed Gabapentin at increasing dosages, until i was using 2500 mg a day, which allowed me to sleep 2-3 hours a night. My neurologist diagnosed my condition as vaccine induced inflammatory neuropathy, and I am a patient at the “UCHealth Long Covid Program” which does not offer any meaningful treatment, as they seem primarily focused upon data collection. My neurologist prescribed IVIG at 1 MG/KG, which didn’t help, and then we tried IVMethyl Prednisone, which didn’t help. The IVIG case studies I’ve read indicate that they used 2mg/Kg successfully, but she was uncomfortable with that dosage. I am still living with this malady and experience extreme bouts of pain, and had to close my business.
Describe the solutions that helped your symptoms
I read that researchers were using ultrasound on the spleen of arthritis patients to lessen the release of cytokines. I purchased a small ultrasound therapy machine and use it on the left side of my abdomen, and on my vagus nerve in my neck when I am having a bout of pain. That helps quite a bit, but is time limited. I recently started using a commercial red light therapy bed, which also seems to lessen the pain and inflammation.
Which solutions were not helpful?
Acupuncture, massage, chiropractic care, gabapentin, epidurals, IVIG, IV methyl prednisone,
What would you like others to know?
That the health care system generally, has no interest in solving the problems created by the covid vaccines, and is totally unequipped to deal with the underlying mechanism of the disease processes that have been unleashed upon many, many thousand, innocent patients who followed their guidelines to their detriment.
