Vaccine Injury Testimonial

Vaccine Injury of Deborah Daniele

What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?

Before the vaccines I had very few physical issues, rarely sick, maybe sinus infections yearly in the winter, but mostly healthy. On a daily basis I had plenty of energy and very alert mentally and emotionally.

Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.

My symptoms started after I had three vaccinations, and one booster. This was about a year and a half after the first vaccination, and weeks after the initial booster. All of my vaccinations were Moderna, and never once did any doctor or prescriber give me indications that there could be adverse reactions. My symptoms started with severe urticaria, which I thought was an allergic reaction to something I had eaten or possibly my system having a difficulty with the high blood pressure meds I was taking. The first incident included full body hives, fever, shortness of breath, aching muscles, headache and eventually autoimmune issues including some loss of body and facial hair (eyebrows mostly) and increased nerve issues from my neck to my hands, tingling and numbness. I ended up in the ER from lack of oxygen and was severely dehdrated. The doctor at that time told me to check with my primary care doctor about changing my bp meds. They also gave me an injection of steroids and a script for more to take, an IV and some antihistamines. Next visit to my primary care, she had no clue as to what could have caused this sudden onset of symptoms. Sent me to an allergist, a cardiologist and a immunologist. Allergist put me on high doses of antihistamines, cardiologist switched out my meds, and the immunologist was wondering why I was sent there. Needless to say, running the circuit of doctors is no fun when no one has answers. I followed all those prescribed solutions, but none were long lasting. The urticaria got worse and worse. My blood pressure was still high, my cholesterol spiked to a ridiculous number and my breathing was labored, like asthma. I was given inhalers, scripts of steroids, an epi pen. All of this caused me to start doing my own research about the covid vaccine, what it was made of, how it was distributed throughout the body, potential affects on organs. I joined groups on facebook with others who had experienced the same symptoms after vaccines. It was interesting sharing problems, possible solutions, what worked, what didn't work. I researched some of those ideas as well, and the most credible ones, I took back to my doctors to ask for fheir input. NONE of them wanted to deep dive into the subject and just kep recommending their previous solutions. One treatment in particular I ran across and wanted badly to do since many people said they have had much success with it. It was therapeutic plasmapheresis. What I studied was the treatment would remove most if not all of the spike proteins, which were the major cause of all the symptoms. I approached my team of doctors, but NONE of them would prescribe or order this treatment for me. I went twice to a plasma center and was turned down because they said I was symptomatic and I didn't qualify. This was very frustrating. So I continued with what I thought to do, the doctors were useless.

Describe the solutions that helped your symptoms

In my research I found that with severe urticaria, a low histamine diet could help it subside. I began this and it did help somewhat, along with continued high doses of antihistamines. Fasting helped, as it seemed to slow down the "allergic" reaction to things, which by this time were most foods. Steroids helped calm things down, but it was only temporary, but had side effects that I didn't tolerate well. So, I tried NOT to take these, and just wuold tough it out. The urticaria symptoms were horrible and I couldn't sleep, had very little energy for even basic daily routines. My breathing function wasn't really improving and I felt like I had asthma all the time. I tried going the route of supplements to boost my immune system. I don't know if that helped or not, as I had no way to measure the effectiveness. Other than did I feel better. Which I didn't. This cycle went on for about two years. I ended up in the ER a couple of times, with weird symptoms and continued intense urticaria and difficulty breathing. Probably what helped the most during this time was strictly following a low histamine diet and intermittent fasting.

Which solutions were not helpful?

I felt very unsupported by doctors. These were professionals who would say to me that they would research and get back to me, but never did. I never had covid, (I was tested plenty) all my symptoms came from the vaccine. I hated taking steroids, whether injection or tablets. Altho, the injection did release symptoms quicker but was short lived. I also gained weight during that time that has been very difficult to lose. I still have some symptoms off and on, not as intense. I recently had type A flu, and that took a toll on my breathing. It was more severe symptoms than I would have had previous to this vaccine injury.

What would you like others to know?

Be persistent. I never did find a doctor who could help me successfully. I think what helped the most was my own research, collaboration with others in the social media groups (some of whom were nurses, but some were also just trolls who wanted to sell you stuff). My own research led me to the low histamine diet and intermittent fasting. This is 6/2025, and I still have residual issues. A small cardiac issue, kidney problems, retinal occlusion that started within that same time frame (that I have to have injections for quarterly) and occasional allergic reactions to the strangest things. I still haven't had the therapeutic plasmapheresis, and I wonder if it would still help at this point. If you can obtain an order for this, it could help.
