Vaccine Injury of Gina Guess

What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?

It was hard because I had lost several immediate family members starting in 2014. Sister to lung cancer June 2014, brother to suspected heart attack October 2014, mother to lung cancer April 2015, then my parents home lost to fire June 2015. Thankfully my father and his puppy (Cody) was staying with my daughter and I when we got the call that his home was on fire in a very small town in Alabama about 1 hour and 15 minutes from where I live.
So my life had taken a backseat to everything that we as a family were going through but I was healthy enough to still get out and go to concerts, movies, eating out, trips to the beach, etc.

Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.

March 2020 my father was having breathing problems. He was sent by ambulance to Huntsville Hospital and we were not allowed to go be with him.  We had always been with family during hospital stays, so this was very upsetting for all but especially my father. He was 88 the past November 22. He was put on ventilator in ER they kept him on the ventilator for 3-4 days in ICU. He didn’t have Covid. When he went to a floor because breathing was under control he was very confused that we were not coming to see him. He got very agitated and probably tried getting out of bed or maybe leaving the hospital (never got the real story). He was strapped by his wrist and ankles to the bed. Because he was trying to leave. Combative. No visits and talking to drs over the phone they talked us into sending him to rehab instead of doing surgery to put a feeding tube in. They said he would probably pull it out over and over so it sounded like they were thinking what was best for him and leading us in our decision. They said he had aspiration pneumonia and was getting liquid and food he swallowed into his lungs. So we agreed to let him go to rehab, again no visits. No contact except by phone!! Something we as a family had never experienced. It felt so inhumane. He was in rehab for 3 days and a nurse left a glass of water on his tray. She stepped out and he supposedly drank some of the fluid and couldn’t breath again. Back to ER by ambulance then finally came home with hospice set up over phone with hospital on April 15, 2020. He was so happy to be home but it felt so cruel to not give him water when he asked for it. We could give him a few drops but that was it. He was pretty agitated still and then after anxiety liquid added to his hospice meds he calmed down completely April 19th. He passed on April 20, 2020. We couldn’t have a funeral. He was a Veteran of the Navy during the Korean conflict. We couldn’t have more than 8 people out of our cars at one time so it was just his remaining 3 daughters, their spouses and children and great grandchildren. One of the many bazaar covid 19 side effects. So sad.
I Got Covid in Dec. 2020. Got the antibodies infusion. Had bloodwork in July 2021. My Dr said my antibodies looked good. She assumed I had had the vaccine. I had not. I was still unable to smell anything. She got very upset with me and said I needed the vaccine!! I guess the fear of being fired as a patient got the better of me (she was still not seeing anyone in her office). I got the 1st of the two Phizer vaccines at CVS pharmacy. Within hours felt like I had Covid again. Everything was declining. Especially my energy and being out of breath. After a week of this my dr sent me to the er saying she thought I had blood clots in my lungs. I waited 20 hrs before being seen in the er. They did lots of test and I believe a ct scan to rule out blood clots. They advised me to NOT get the 2nd shot.
Still feeling weak and sick another week passed. Now hadn’t worked in 3 weeks. (I’m a self employed single hairdresser) Still as weak as could be. Heart rate really fast and all over the place. My dr sent me back to the er saying I had symptoms of myocarditis. Waited 8 hrs this trip!!
They said they don’t normally do this but because of the 2 visits so close together they did an ultrasound on my heart. They said to follow up with a cardiologist. Finally made myself go back to work after 4 weeks. Was having to pay bills on credit cards because wasn’t bringing in any income.
So in the last 5 yrs. I’ve had COVID at least 4-6 times. I’ve had kidney stones, shortness of breath, lack of energy, vertigo, ears ring to this day, still can’t smell many things, constant fatigue, migraines, electrical feelings in my head, hands, feet, legs. I’ve put on about 20-30 lbs I believe trying to comfort myself with food because I can’t say that things taste all that good.
I’ve had to file bankruptcy because of the interest rate on credit cards I was paying bills with. I didn’t get much help when they closed my salon because we weren’t essential. I’m in constant discomfort but can’t quit working. Not old enough for SS. Can’t not work because I’m single and sole provider for any income to my home. I’ve had issues with depression since April 1991 off and on after the birth of my son. Then reared its ugly head again in January 2000 with h the birth of my daughter. I’ve been treated for depression consistently since 2002-2003. Now the depression is a whole different level. I’ve actually thought everyone would be better off without me here.
I now have more depression and anxiety. More anxiety due to not being able to hold urine and sometimes bowels. So embarrassing to even write. Not 100% sure my drs know the extent of this on my life.

Describe the solutions that helped your symptoms

Changed my family dr and psychiatrist in Oct. 2024
They are helping me get off some of the many meds I was on. I feel hopeful but still very unsure and unworthy because none of my drs have taken it seriously that I may have long covid. The new psychiatrist I have did actually say he thinks I don’t do well with most medication and vaccines and encouraged me to not get anymore vaccines. He’s giving me hope.

Which solutions were not helpful?

People thinking I’m a hypochondriac. Working through the pain. I have to stay in bed all day after 2 or more days of work. Vitamins and supplements.
Having the anxiety about not ever eating or drinking away from home or work for fear I won’t find a bathroom. The excess weight that I just can’t get off.

What would you like others to know?

This is real. Please have some compassion and be thankful if you don’t have these problems.
