Jacob Maczuga

What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?

I have osteoporosis-porosis and as a result have had several orthopedic implants. But the implants generally have never bothered me.

Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.

Right after the first shot, I developed a severe pain in my right knee which is a one of the implants. It persisted for a month and required me to use a cane for that period. It ultimately subsided but hen I received my second shot, I developed a distinct pain in my left femur which also has a metal-late along its length. Ditto for the boosters as well, pain in my shoulders (both with implants) and my elbow (another implant). The shots seemed to affect all the areas of my body that had metallic substrates. With the boosters I also seemed to develop a distinct tightness in my chest for several days but that subsided pretty quickly.

Describe the solutions that helped your symptoms

Just took it easy until the pains subsided. Did not seek medical care.

Which solutions were not helpful?

Just rested A LOT!

What would you like others to know?

I reported my reactions to VAERS but never have I received any kind of response. Have others with metallic joints and implants suffered similar reactions?
