Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.

"8/22/21

I received my 1st vaccine on December 12th, as I worked at the time in an ER in West Texas. It was very important to me to receive the vaccine, not only because I have a BS in Public Health, was active in treating COVID patients, but because I am a Type 1 Diabetic. Wishing about three hours after receiving the vaccine I was wheezing, I have asthma and was not terribly alarmed but the wheezing was very different; I could tell my airway was narrowed but not compromised. I then started itching like crazy, so I just kept applying lotion. I came home that night and realized I had petechiae all over my belly and had started to develop lesions under my arms and around my breasts. When I woke up the next morning, my hands were extremely swollen, it looked like edema but there was no substantial pitting. The rash and hives covered my torso and my upper thigh and groin area. There was no involvement of my head or neck. Otherwise I had minimally labored breathing, despite nebulizer treatments and emergency inhaler use. I called our hospital employee health who had administered my vaccine and they insisted I be tested for COVID-19; it was negative. All in all these symptoms lasted for about 7 days. While they were systemic, they are not well explained or accounted for in the research and I just want to know why it happened. I also want to know if a different vaccine would be safe? I am not allergic to PEG, thus why did the reaction happen perhaps a response to the spike protein itself? Was it what my body would have done had I gotten COVID-19. I hope somebody knows. I really wish you could post pictures because they tell the tail much better than I ever could. I reported to VAERS and no one has been able to give me an answer or even reconcile my reaction.
