Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.
"8/22/21
I work in a pharmacy. I received the Moderna vaccine in January of 2021 without any reaction and then in February 2021 I received my second shot. I had this time the expected fever, malaise, muscle pain, and fatigue for 24 hours. After the first 24 hrs the brain fog, shortness of breath, fatigue, and muscle pain remained. On day 5 after the vaccine I developed lymph swelling in both armpits (as a guy this was embarrassing). I researched it and found in scholarly articles that mostly women, but some men had this symptoms and it went away in 10 days. I waited for 10 days and then reached out to providers in the healthcare system. They ran their labs and COVID tests which came back at normal levels and negative. I was becoming more and more short of breath to the point I was admitted to the hospital ER twice in a week. The ER gave me medication to put me to sleep (which it did not) but dropped my pulse oxygen into the 70s and 80s. My primary referred me to allergy and asthma, neurology, infectious disease, pulmonology, ear nose and throat. Each specialist did there own tests which either came back normal, clean or negative except for allergy and asthma. My allergy and asthma specialist is also an immunologist. He threw the kitchen sink of blood tests at me. It has been found that my immunoglobulins are all low (IgG, IgM, IgG and IgD); my cytokines and interleukins are mostly elevated, I have had my neck and jaw lymph node swell. I have been diagnosed as allergic asthmatic, and treated with respiratory medications. My abdomen has swollen to the point I look 8 months pregnant- as a guy this does not help my self image. I now have been started on immunoglobulin replacement therapy that I am being told it may be for life. This has been going on for months now. Starting in February and still going on today. I have been reassured by the many tests of what it is not, but not many medical professionals want to attribute this to the COVID vaccine. As a health care worker I want this followed up on by the medical community. This could be classified as stage 4 surveillance after any medication or vaccine is released by the FDA.
