Vaccine Injury of Lynne Dossey
What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?
Perfectly healthy. I had a doctors appointment 3 days before the vaxx and had a BP baseline of 110/80.
Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.
Soooo… I am the one… you may know. The one who had a major allergic reaction to the Covid vaccine. The major reactions that no one is talking about like… you know… death, permanent disabilities, severe allergic reactions, heart problems. Yah, those last two are me. It’s a long read, but it is my experience.
I was admittedly vaxx hesitant. I had anaphylaxis 3 years ago while taking allergy desensitization shots. Ambulance. ED. The whole works. So I was not lining up first to get the vaxx. Based on my age and health I have a >99% covid survival rate. My whole family was vaxxed. The oldies were double vaxxed. But my company was asking for an 80% vaxx rate for employees before they would open the offices to everyone. We had a big meeting and we were only at 60% vaxxed and as a senior leader I wanted to be able to go onsite. Be present. I could have not taken the vaxx and continued to be remote. But that just didn’t set well with me. And, I was a healthy woman. So at the last possible moment, I got the shot. I was only gonna do this once so I scheduled the J&J shot at an urgent care, with a doctor present. I took an allergy pill beforehand per their instructions and had my epi pen with me just in case. I sat for an hour after the shot… 45 minutes longer than the requirement.
At the 1 hour and fifteen minute mark, waiting for my In-n-Out burger… I felt a flush go up my left shoulder, through my neck into my face and just weirdly tingle. It was nothing I had ever felt before and it was scary, but not painful. It did not go away but like any ‘strong’ woman I powered through. That night I went to sleep with a tingly face and woke up from a dead sleep in the wee hours soaked in sweat. No fever, just soaked. I thought… okay, I got what everyone else got and made it through.
I had a relatively normal day and evening with the exception of the tingles and then the next night I got slammed with the fever. Five hours to get rid of it. I did not feel right… at all. But I thought… okay, now I really got what everyone else got and made it through.
Five days later, the tingling in my face was not going away and seemingly moving down my left arm, I accessed my insurance covered TeleDoc. The doc made me feel better. Said I likely had something called paresthesia from a massive histamine reaction and it would dissipate in maybe five more days. The left side of my face feels like I have been at the dentist… numb but tingly. He said this was a known side effect of the vaxx and I said…okay, I got what some other people got and I am not alone.
Then… it hit. I was with my sister at a conference and was not doing well. My heart rate spiked to 178 and then seemed to settle in at 154 and stay there… For. Six. Hours. I was sweating profusely. I was using the restroom as if I was standing under Niagara Falls. Like any ‘strong’ woman… I walked it off eventually getting to something lower than 154. I was embarrassed. How could this be happening to me.
That night… my heart was pounding so hard it felt like it was coming out of my chest and I could not breathe myself into normalcy. I wrote my parents an ‘I love you text’. If I fell asleep somehow and did not wake up, I wanted them to know how important they were to me. I was embarrassed. How could this be happening to me.
I woke up and my heart had settled into the high 90’s which seemed normal in comparison to the day before. As soon as I got home, I went to the Urgent Care. They took my HR and BP four times. First was 183/120 and 111HR. Last was 156/113 and 94HR. The kind doctor told me he thought I was having an allergic reaction to the vaccine and my body was working overtime to combat it. Said my innards ran a marathon without my body. He told me to give it time and to double dose Benadryl to help me sleep and fight the allergic reaction. Three days before I took the vaxx I had my physical… 120/88 BP and 68HR. I was embarrassed. How could this be happening to me. I felt alone.
After weeks of Benadryl, and constant BP and HR monitoring it seemed I might have fallen into a new normal. High, but not racing. I had a few more weeks of this new normal and then wham… it happened again. I was out of town in a small mountain resort. We rode e-bikes to lunch. I did not feel right. I tried to walk it off. I tried to breathe myself into normalcy. This is just a panic attack I said, I can get myself out of it. An hour later with no change, I decided I needed to go to the Urgent Care. There were no Uber or Lyft to be found. So I full throttled an e-bike to the closest urgent care which also happened to be an ED. I was at 174/122 and 144HR. They did an EKG, chest X-ray, two enzyme heart attack tests and a d-dimer test for blood clots. No heart attack and barely negative for blood clots. A bag of saline, some potassium and a requirement to see a cardiologist immediately, he sent me on my way after two hours resting at 156/101 and 96HR. He had no real answers, but was pretty sure it was caused by the vaccine. I was embarrassed. How could this be happening to me. I can’t be the only one.
I shockingly made it to the cardiologist within two days. EKG again, BP 151/98 and 143HR. He said he has seen this with the vaccine. Sent me home with a heart monitor and put me on beta blockers. I have never been medicated for anything. Nothing. This is new. Along with the constant dizziness, a general feeling of being unwell, hot streaks going up and down my leg, an immunity system whacked out, and pressure on the side of my face that has paresthesia… I am now on freaking heart medication?! I am no longer embarrassed. I am mad. I can’t be the only one.
A long week of sinus tachycardia (steady high but not crazy high) and a medicated BP of 120/101 he doubles my meds. He says I am an anomaly (I would rather be normal) and promises me he has not seen anyone with these side effects last longer than 6 months. Says the good news is I am halfway through, but come in for an echo to check for myocarditis. The same cardiologist who I saw three years ago and gave me such a clean bill of health that when I said ‘see ya in 10 years’ he said ‘okay’… is now checking me for heart damage… because of this effing vaccine.
I have accessed more healthcare in these last three months from having taken the vaccine that is supposed to keep me out of the hospital, than I have accessed in the last five years combined. The hypocrisy should not be lost. And we should start talking openly about the massive side effects drastically impacting lives. What I have experienced the last 3 months for a vaccine that does not guarantee I won’t get or give Covid… I would not wish on anyone. And as I am sure you can understand… I am taking a hard hard pass on the booster. I have done my part, and then some.
I am no longer embarrassed. I am mad as hell. And I am not the only one.
I am 1 : 875,651 at least.
