Vaccine Injury Testimonial

Vaccine Injury of Michael Coles

What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?

So in 2016 I got a concussion which I was slowly healing from. In 2021 I was getting better. I was going to college at that time working hard to rebuild myself. I was going to class all the time doing my assignments and interacting with people. I walked and bused everywhere. I was healthy other than the slow recovery from the concussion.

Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.

Ive been experiencing shooting pain, weakness, difficulty walking, dizziness, light and sound sensitivity, cranial neuropathies, and severe neurological symptoms. I also noticed pain could continue day and night and where weakness is severe enough to interfere with basic everyday activities.

My own health problems include:

• Severe shooting and radiating nerve pain
• Pain travelling from my tailbone and lower back down through my legs and feet
• Pain travelling upward through my spine, shoulders, neck, and arms
• Numbness and pins-and-needles sensations
• Burning and crawling sensations in my legs and feet
• Progressive weakness in my legs
• Loss of muscle strength
• Difficulty standing and walking
• Severe headaches and pressure around my head, jaw, and neck
• Extreme fatigue and body heaviness
• Cognitive and memory problems
• Sensitivity and neurological symptoms that become worse when I am exhausted or in pain
• Severe worsening after physical activity

During the inquiry i heard patients mention similar issues like mine with shooting pains and weakness that affected their ability to walk, along with other neurological complaints.

My health decline began after my COVID vaccinations. I became extremely sick after each dose, never felt like I returned to my previous baseline, and gradually became worse. My known COVID infection occurred roughly a year later, after that decline had already begun.

By 2023, I had developed psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.

By 2024, my condition became overwhelming. Severe insomnia appeared, my neurological and pain symptoms intensified, and eventually even standing and walking became difficult.

Today, physical activity can trigger a major crash. Later that day I become increasingly sick, sore, exhausted, and neurologically symptomatic. The following day can feel like I was hit by a truck.

Describe the solutions that helped your symptoms

I've noticed nerve blockers help a little bit but not enough. Nerve drugs help a little. I also need to take taltz so I don't get extremely sick from the auto immune disease

Which solutions were not helpful?

I've tried tons of medications with no luck its like putting a bandage onto an axe wound

What would you like others to know?

My experiences are part of the reason I became involved in nonprofit work with the Turning Point Canada Foundation. Its also why I've been trying to bring awareness on my pages when it comes to reporting on the news.

I create logos, social media graphics, merchandise and public-awareness materials because I want people’s voices to be heard—especially fellow Canadians living with chronic illness, disability, medical uncertainty or experiences they feel unable to discuss openly.

Even while facing my own limitations, I want to create something meaningful and remind others that their lives, experiences and voices matter.
