Vaccine Injury of Pete Opper
What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?
I was nearly perfectly healthy. 59 years old, 6 ft 1, 145 pounds, an avid runner, worked out 30 minutes to an hour every day.
Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.
First, my vestibular system malfunctioned. This causes dizziness and nausea at all times, I lose my balance and stumble, and I no longer feel safe on a ladder. Next, visual auras started. I had visual kaleidoscope episodes, seeing spinning color wheels in the corner of my vision. Then Reynaud's syndrome started, my fingers and toes feel freezing cold when the room temperature is 73 degrees F or lower. In colder temperatures my fingers become numb and turn yellow. The muscles in my lower legs started twitching all the time. Then the burning pain started. My arms, legs, face and scalp burn from the inside. The easiest comparison is that it feels like I'm sitting in a pot of boiling water. My joints ached endlessly. Throbbing, pulsing pain. It was all nearly unbearable, like I was being tortured around the clock. In addition to the burning, I felt as if I was being stabbed by needles and knives, all over my body. Even pins stabbing my eyeballs. When I bend my elbows past about 90 degrees, my arms start going numb.I was hospitalized during one bout, and nothing was found on any tests they ran. I saw over a dozen doctors. I saw a neurologist at Texas Neurology in Dallas, and I was gaslit when I said I thought I was injured by the vaccine. Then I went to UT Southwestern hospital in Dallas. The first doctor I saw there prescribed Gabapentin, which is a nerve pain medicine which was mind altering. It reduced the nerve pain but affected how I felt, my thoughts, and was in itself another form of torture. I then saw two neurologists at UT Southwestern. They performed nerve tests and blood tests, all of which came back negative. They refused to acknowledge that my condition was or even could have been caused by the COVID Vaccine. I was reading a lot on the subject, and I asked one of the Neurologists (who is a teaching doctor in the school there) to run a Spike Protein Antibody test. I asked for this because I believed that the vaccine had caused my body to produce too many spike proteins, which had caused my immune system to attack my nervous system. He refused to order the test. When I pressed him that I wanted this test, he became angry and raised his voice and said that he wouldn't order it and that test wouldn't mean anything. He would only prescribe another nerve pain medicine. I asked to see an immunologist at the same hospital, and that department refused to see me.
I tried to get in at the Mayo Clinic multiple times. They wouldn't see me and responded was that my only option was pain management.
Meanwhile, my symptoms kept getting worse with each passing week. And new symptoms were reguarly appearing, all related to my peripheral nervous system. I began getting tremors in my fingers, hands and even mouth, my genitals began getting the pins and needles and stabbing sensations, my intestines seemed to start malfunctioning and some other symptoms which I don't wish to share.
I finally found a doctor who is what I would call a non-conformist and specialized in COVID Vax and Long COVID treatment. Without my asking, he immediately ordered a Spike Protein Antibody test (The Labcorp blood test). My count was over 25,000 units, higher than the test can measure. My count was literally off the chart. This was 2 and a half years after my last shot. For some hard to understand reason, my previous doctor at UT Southwestern chose to keep his head in the sand and didn't want to know the results from this test. It seems to confirm that my body is a "spike protein factory", a term being used by some nowadays.
My new doctor prescribed two prescription meds (one was Hydroxychloroquine) to tamp down my immune system, several supplements, and a nicotine patch. In only two weeks, yes TWO WEEKS, the burning pain and pins and needles pain was reduced to about 20 percent of what it had been, and I was able to stop taking the Gabapentin. Some of my symptoms, such as Reynauds and tremors, unfortunately haven't changed. Most importantly, my symptoms stopped progressing and I haven’t gotten any new symptoms since I started this protocol.
This one non-conformist doctor (who has been vilified online and by the medical establishment) saved my life. Other doctors didn't know what to do, or didn't care to try to help me. UT Southwestern, arguably considered the best Hospital in Dallas, did nothing to help. They would only prescribe pain medicine which did nothing to attack the root cause or stop further damage to my body. Their top neurologists treated my like I was a nuisance, gaslit me and acted like I was crazy for saying I thought the vaccine caused my symptoms (which started less than 60 days after my 3rd shot). There is no history of M.S., neuropathic pain, or anything like this in my family. I was very physically fit and never had any health problems even remotely related to my nervous system. It just seemed obvious to me this was caused by the vaccine, it was the simplest explanation.
One other interesting fact; after I went to UT Southwestern, I learned of the https://openpaymentsdata.cms.gov/ website. The main neurologist I saw there (the one that got angry when I asked him to run a COVID Antibody test) received about $100,000 in payments from pharmaceutical companies in 2023, mostly for "consulting".
Describe the solutions that helped your symptoms
Please see the treatment I’ve listed under what I want others to know below. This might help other people suffering from neuropathy caused by the Covid jabs.
Which solutions were not helpful?
While gabapentin reduced the pain, and was a stopgap solution making life bearable, it altered my mind and thought processes. And while I was on it, I kept getting new symptoms. This is not a good long-term treatment.
What would you like others to know?
After being tortured with severe neuropathy for a year, I started the regimen listed below, and my symptoms were substantially reduced in only two weeks. I’m still on it, but I’ve added more supplements. The main treatment follows:
*Hydroxychloroquine - 200 mg , twice a day
*Colchicine - 0.6 mg , once a day
*Nattokinase - 400 mg, twice a day
*Bromelain - 2000 mg, once a day
*Curcumin with piperine- 2000 mg, twice a day
* 7 mg nicotine patch, once a day.
This treatment was literally life-changing. I’m still in pain. It’s still difficult to exercise, but I can survive. Mainstream doctors would only give me nerve pain medicine. I found an honest Doctor in the Dallas area that treats vaccine injuries that prescribed this.
