What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?
Healthy active retired Fire Fighter and Pilot. Only health issues were the Meniscus in both knees were damaged from years of fighting fires. Was working as the Logistics Director at the Reno National Championship Air Races at the time of the reaction.
Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.
about two hours after receiving the second round of the Moderna vaccination I got to my room I started to feel like I had the flu complete with fever and body aches and pains. The symptoms came on very acutely. From the first feeling of something wrong to being totaly incapacitated was about 45 minutes. It was so bad that I could not make a phone call for help. I laid in a pool of sweat with every joint and mussel in my body hurting for about 10 hours. It was a very rough night. I was scared, and the fact I could not call for help scared me even more. After about 10 hours I started to feel a little better but there was a noise in my left ear that sounded like a short or bad ground in a microphone system. The scratching and clicking continued for a few days with it getting worse as the days went on. Then one day the scratching and clicking sounds of a bad audio circuit changed abruptly into the sound of a swarm of Cicadas about two feet above and to the rear of my left ear. It has progressively gotten worse over the last few years to the point that sometimes I can not sleep because of the noise. Ear plugs, ear buds and head phones in the airplane only make it more amplified it seems.
Describe the solutions that helped your symptoms
There has been NO solution. My doctor tells me its because of my years as a fire fighter and my flying and being around loud equipment. I always used hearing protection and had perfect hearing up until 05/13/2021. It has been Hell every since and only getting worse. Sometimes I think if I can just drill out my ear drum it would let that swarm of Cicadas out and I would have some comfort. It may sound strange, but when I had my last knee worked on I was given instructions to take a cocktails of Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen for pain and inflammation. I discovered that these two drugs in concert would lesson the severity of the tinnitus for a short time. In fact If I take the half dose of both Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen together a half hour before bed time I can get to sleep and not be too bothered for 5-6 hours.
Which solutions were not helpful?
NOTHING aside from the anti-inflammatory drugs has helped. My doctor thinks I'm crazy. I don't care what he says, I know what temporally helps. I know what I know and what I experence.
What would you like others to know?
DO NOT TAKE THESE VACCINES. I have had COVID 19 at least three times (confirmed by an ER) since the last injection, over the last two years I have experence acute onsets of being sick with COVID 19, but NOTHING like the experence I had with the second injection. I'm 64 years old and I would rather have COVID again than experence what I have experienced and am experiencing from the vaccine. I think we need to seriously start looking at a class action against those involved in the lie that was laid on us about the safety and efficiency of these vaccines. I think this was all a matter of money in the pockets of big pharma and a few public servants who have or will benefit finically from all of this.
