Vaccine Injury Testimonial

Vaccine Injury of Sharon Petruzzi

What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?

I had recovered from a very bad case of Covid-19, almost died, was on oxygen for 18 months but finally weaned off. Was able to perform all household tasks and my duties as an RN in the operating room. Except for a history of back issues all my joints were fine.

Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.

I woke up on 8/12/2022, 23 days after receiving the vaccine, with the joints in both hands and wrists severely swollen and “on fire”, burning terribly. Both my knees were swollen and painful as well. Both ankles were painful but not swollen. I saw my PCP on 8/15/2022 who started me on massive doses of prednisone and hydroxychlorquin to try to calm things down to no avail. I was seen by a rheumatologist and over the last 3 years have tried oral Imuran, and methotrexate and Enbrel injections along with the hydroxychlorquin and prednisone . Due to the massive doses of steroid I became osteoporotic and have had fractures of my left clavicle, right elbow and T-12, L2, and L-3 vertebrae. I am just recently noticing some relief of pain in my fingers and wrists although they are disfigured from the joint destruction. (My PCP had told me I shouldn’t take the vaccine because I had immunity from having Covid and a history of autoimmune disease but my son was expecting his first child & his wife insisted I get the vaccine if I wanted to have contact with the baby. So unfortunately I took the vaccine. I have been suffering with severe rheumatoid arthritis ever since.)

Describe the solutions that helped your symptoms

Pain medication takes the edge off.
Heating pad to back
Voltaren cream to joints helps a little.

What would you like others to know?

Don’t take the vaccine.
