What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?
I had autoimmune issues before vaccination. Type 1diabetes, fibromyalgia, and rheumatoid arthritis.
Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.
After my first and only booster I began experiencing episodes of passing out. It’s now happened six times. These episodes appear to last approx 20-30 mins. I had to go the the ER after one of these episodes due to injuries I sustained from passing out. I’ve had numerous joints flare up, extreme fatigue and I am neurologically not the same. I’m forgetful. I lose things. I’ve been to a cardiologist and two neurologists and had numerous scans and an EEG. All tests are normal. I also had a very odd splotchy rash in patches all over my body that was miserably itchy. It looked like it came from the inside of my body and resembled welts. It would come and go for about six months. About four hours from my dose I was extremely sick- throwing up, diarrhea and body aches so severe I could not walk. I ran a fever also. This lasted for about 3 days. My recovery from the initial onset of severe symptoms was over a month. This happened on 11/8 and I barely made it through Thanksgiving.
Describe the solutions that helped your symptoms
My rheumatologist increase my hydroxychloroquine dose and that helped some of the joint issues. My PCP gave me a steroid cream for the rash.
Which solutions were not helpful?
Nothing seems to be helpful. My situation is more like my symptoms need to run their course. Currently I don’t have severe symptoms other than the brain fog and extreme fatigue.
