What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?

I had a pretty severe case of Covid in March 2020. I recovered and by June I was back working as a medical assistant for a pediatrician. I was still fatigued but I was able to do my job, drive, clean, go to dinner. All the normal things one does.

Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.

Covid March 2020
1st Pfizer vaccine January 2021
2nd Pfizer vaccine February 2021

March 2021 GI issues
March to December weird symptoms that the drs couldn’t figure out. Abnormal weight loss, early satiation, dizziness, syncope, POTS, brain fog, had trouble remembering things. All the drs thought it was long Covid.

May 5, 2021 went on medical leave
September 2021 relinquished driving
October, 2021 resigned from my job
December 2021 immunology reveals abnormal free light chains, either cancer or AL amyloidosis

January 2022 meeting with Dr Goldberg
February 2022 bone marrow & fat pad biopsy reveals amyloidosis & smoldering myeloma
March 16, 2022 entered Mt Sinai with a heart rate of 35, 3rd degree AV block, c-dif, UTI, sepsis
March 28, 2022 transferred to LIJ manhasset
March 30, 2022 implanted pacemaker
April 1, 2022 started chemo for the amyloidosis
(Velcade, darzalex , cytoxin, Dexthramethasone)
Weekly
April 4, 2022 left hospital
September 5, 2022 Covid 2nd time
September 6, 2022 monoclonal antibody treatment
October 28, 2022 start maintenance chemo
(Velcade, Dexthramethasone biweekly
Darzalex monthly)
Been on maintenance chemo since
The smoldering myeloma has been downgraded to MGUS

What would you like others to know?

I would like to bring awareness to the amyloidosis. I feel like it is being way under diagnosed.
