What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?
My life was normal before injury, Worked hard, Very active, Athletic. I did suffer most of my life with anxiety/depression but medication helped for the most part. Traveled a lot with family. Worked construction most of my life.
Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.
Took 2 doses of Pfizer March and April of 2021, Took booster November 2021 along with flu vaccine. A few weeks later I noticed my ears ringing super loud. Then vertigo, brain fog, muscle and joint pain, balance issues, extreme anxiety. I really felt like I was out of my body. My symptoms got worse when weather Rain/Snow was coming, I could tell 24 hrs in advance.
Describe the solutions that helped your symptoms
I took many anxiety meds and sleep aids because I couldn’t sleep because of the ringing. Now 3 years later my symptoms are not as bad but still linger, I still don’t feel comfortable driving because of my brain fog and vertigo/vision problems. I did find out Valtrex helped with most of my symptoms but as soon as I stop taking symptoms slowly came back.
What would you like others to know?
If there’s a cure for my injury?? I did figure out the Valtrex thing from reading and reading. I was researching my symptoms and found an article on someone pre covid that was diagnosed with Ménière’s disease, all my symptoms pointed towards that so I asked my doctor if I could try it and he agreed, I took 1 dose which I took before bed, The next morning I woke up in complete silence. I finished the 10 day script and then did a small dose to maintain for a few months and was almost healed. I stopped taking and after a few weeks I started to notice everything coming back but hasn’t been nearly as bad as the beginning, I can sort of do everything I need to now but I do get exhausted pretty easy.
