Vaccine Injury of Vicki Cote

What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?

I was a 65 year old super active retired nurse on no medications and no illnesses.
I spent a lot of time with my young grandchildren, time at our cottage golfing and boating. I loved to do crafts , baking and cooking. Had energy to burn and was active and busy for the entire day. No I'm lucky if I have energy to get through the morning. I have no strength in my left arm to roll dough, carry heavy objects let alone golf.

Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.

April 8, 2021 First Moderna vaccine Left arm. Developed severe arm and neck pain which lasted about a week but then dissipated.

May 28, 2021 # 2 Moderna vaccine left arm. symptoms similar but less.
Dec 2, 2021 #3 Moderna vaccine left arm. Symptoms manageable.
May 26, 2022 #4 Moderna 1/2 dose vaccine left arm symptoms manageable

Sept 24, 2023 Covid illness confirmed with the Rapid Response Covid tests. Symptoms mild fever cough and lasted about a week.

Oct 14, 2022 #5 Moderna Vaccine left arm symptoms manageable

Dec 15 ,2023 # 6 Covid Vaccine (Spikevax)XBB 1.5 left arm.
Within hours of the vaccine I had pain in my left arm like a tight band around my bicep. Mild fever, aches & pain symptoms and lethargy. This lasted a few days but the arm pain increased and continued. I was unable to use my arm because of the pain with any type of movement. Daily functions were difficult and I needed help from my husband to perform them dressing , putting on seatbelt. I took Tylenol / Advil with little relief. Sleeping was extremely difficult. My left arm felt like it was weaker and less coordinated than my right and fine motor skills were difficult. I was very protective of my arm and only used it when I had to.

Mid Jan 2024 I made an appoint with my family Dr as the arm pain and symptoms were not subsiding. Now, even though the Canadian Health Care is "free" it was and is under a tremendous assault since Covid started resulting in increased wait times that are horrendous. The soonest appointment with my family Dr was Feb 29,2024.( 6 weeks)
Feb 29 2024 At this appointment my Physician felt my arm issues were to do with the vaccine. He ordered a Nerve Conduction Test on my arm. This was not available until July 26, 2024 ( 5 Months)

Mid June 2024 I noticed that my arm pain was subsiding some and I was able to move it a little better. It still felt weak and coordination was not normal. I contemplated even cancelling the Nerve study test because I thought I might be on the mend, but didn't. Within a few days I noticed I now had a slight tremor in my left arm mostly while I was walking. At this time I also developed a cramping in my left foot and my toes would curl under. At the time I did not correlate that it may be connected to my arm tremor. I was also sensitive to sound. And had a very diminished energy level.

June 15 2024 my bowl habits changed from a loose BM daily which was normal for me, to not being able to go without lots of laxative. Colonoscopy was normal and I'm still on laxative daily. No explanation of this.

July 26 2024 I had my nerve conduction test which was normal. The Dr also noticed a fine tremor in my legs mostly my left, he consulted Neurology so that I could get in the que quicker then my family Dr ordering it as he felt symptoms were related to the central nervous system. He informed me not to take any vaccines until this was sorted out with a diagnosis.

July 31 2024 I started having anxiety attacks and more tremors. I was seen in the Emergency dept, brain CT scan was normal. Was put on Propranolol 40mg bid to help tremors but may have helped slightly. Vision was more blurry unable to get into my optometrist until Dec 11 2024. Was waiting to see neurology.

Aug 6 2024 Developed a severe UTI dysuria, hematuria which had to be treated with 2 rounds of antibiotic. I have never had a UTI before.

Sept 3 2024 (39 Days later) I saw Neurology. The Neurologist was not interested in hearing about the "Covid " symptoms he focused on the tremor in my arms and legs (parkinsonism) symptoms. He was abrupt, condescending, and did not make me feel comfortable. He indicated that I needed an MRI and perhaps starting on some dopamine meds but would not prescribe either unless I was coming back to see him, "Someone else could order them". So I left with no treatment plan.

Sept 18 my family Physician ordered a MRI on Sept 4 and second opinion consult with Neurology . MRI is booked for Nov 29 ( Approx 12 weeks). At this visit my BP was up and I was put on Candastarten 4mg od. Was also not sleeping and was having anxiety attacks which I have never had before. Put on Zopiclone and ativan.

Oct 18, 2024 Developed pain below left shoulder blade like being stung by wasps and an electrical shock. I had previously had doses of the Shingrex vaccine in 2019., so was vaccinated for Shingles. I also had a slight rash on shoulder blade for a day or two, approx 1cm x 4 cm. Tylenol and advil not very helpful. By the time I got into see the Dr it was too late for antiviral but was started on Lyrica and gabapentin, diclofenac lidocaine cream which did not really help. Was referred to immunologist re taking Covid and other vaccines in the future. Have not got a date for this appointment yet.

As of Nov 8 2024 I'm waiting for my first MRI, consult with neurology and immunology. I have no answers at all and it has been almost 11 months.

Describe the solutions that helped your symptoms

I have found absolutely nothing to help my symptom's. Evert diagnostic test is taking forever. This plays heavy on your mental health and to go from healthy and active one day to having no energy and worried about your future.
