What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?
Before the vaccine, I had just graduated with a degree in Kinesiology from the University of Houston and was excited to start my new venture in life. I had just been accepted to and began serving an internship for a phenomenal athletic training facility and could not wait to start my journey into a personal training career. I have always been someone who has taken my health very seriously and was in the best physical condition I had ever been in back in May 2021. I was working out every day, eating healthy, and had never experienced any health problems whatsoever.
Describe your symptoms and the timeline of your reaction
I received my first dose of the vaccine on May 30th, 2021 and the only symptoms I had after the injection was the normal fatigue and arm soreness. About ten days later, I woke up one morning and felt like my entire world was turned upside down. I was not able to stand up without feeling like I was going to pass out. Simply walking outside and seeing the sun gave me a pulsing headache. Conversations, music, and the sound of traffic were overwhelming, confusing, and caused an instant jolt of anxiety throughout my entire body. Sound, light, and simply walking 5 minutes was too much for my body to handle. I was dizzy, nauseous, and felt out of touch with reality. My head felt like it was in a bubble and not attached to my body, and I could not feel my legs. I was not able to focus on anything and concentrating on a simple conversation felt like I was solving a puzzle.Three days passed, no improvement, I constantly felt like I was going to pass out. A year has gone by, and my neurological symptoms are still there. The constant feeling of swaying – like I am on a boat, the chronic fatigue, blurry vision, exhaustion, brain fog, and pressure on my chest making it difficult to breathe most days. I am no longer able to exercise and walking more than 15 minutes takes a toll on my body. Since the vaccine I’ve been diagnosed with POTs, chronic fatigue syndrome, pericarditis, and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome.
Describe the solutions that helped your symptoms
What has really helped my POTs symptoms has been hyperbaric chamber treatments and a clean diet (dairy and gluten free) and elimination of coffee, alcohol, and processed foods. My neurological symptoms have improved slightly over time but they are still very much there just not as severe. EBO2 therapy has helped me improve overall. Daily NAD shots have helped with my brain fog and concentration issues. I’ve also been taking supplements that have helped my fatigue tremendously. The two supplements that have helped my fatigue are ATP 360 and EnerDMG.
Which solutions were not helpful?
acupuncture, Vitamin C IVs, transcranial magnetic stimulation, cryotherapy
What would you like others to know?
It’s going to take time and patience but your body will heal and you will get better. This is not permanent.

Hello Caitlin, I have pericarditis now and have been taking colchicine and prednisone daily in the seven weeks since my ER visit that diagnosed it following the bivalent booster vaccine. Really disappointed to find with a cardiac MRI that at week seven, I still have active pericarditis. How long did that part of your vaccine injury take to resolve?
