Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.
August 24,2021 Christy choose to receive the first of 2 moderna injections due to pressure from her coworkers and employer (Williamsport Area School District) from Family Practice, Hughesville PA . Upon receiving the first shot, her iron level elevated. When she asked her primary care physician Quin Kirk for Family Practice, Hughesville PA about receiving the second shot he advised her to receive the shot that her iron count was not elevated due to the shot. She received the second shot on 9-21-2021. Upon receiving that shot she did not feel right several days after the shot and returned to Family Practice, Hughesville PA and had blood work done. The test indicated that she suffered from acute liver injury which blood work in the past had been consistent ever month and anuric renal failure, decompensated cirrhosis due to autoimmune hepatitis, and severe necrotizing myopathy.. She had to have blood work every month due to taking Lipitor. On 11-10-2021 she went to UPMC Muncy and was diagnosed with Liver failure. She was transferred to Geisinger Medical Center Danville PA the discharged 11-18-2021. On 12-07-2021 Christy returned to Geisinger Medical Center where her condition worsened and was treated for several conditions. Several of the doctors had thought the Moderna vaccine had caused her condition however would not openly admit this.
