U.S. RESIDENTS: DEMAND ACTION

There are compensation programs designed to help support those with life-altering vaccine injuries, called the CICP and VICP funds.  Because COVID-19 vaccines were authorized under Emergency Use Authorization, they are not covered under VICP — the program used for every other recommended vaccine.

The Vaccine Injury Compensation Modernization Act of 2026, introduced by Reps. Lloyd Doggett (D-TX) and Lloyd Smucker (R-PA), would move COVID-19 vaccine claims into the VICP and modernize the program for everyone.

TO DATE, JUST 51 COVID-19 VACCINE INJURY CLAIMS HAVE BEEN COMPENSATED NATIONWIDE — A 98.6% REJECTION RATE. OUTSIDE A HANDFUL OF OUTLIERS, THE AVERAGE AWARD IS UNDER $5,000.

Request action be taken on the following:

Cosponsor the Vaccine Injury Compensation Modernization Act of 2026 (House); draft and introduce a companion bill (Senate).

Fund vaccine injury research through existing Long COVID research legislation.

2a - Phone Script for Injured for House Reps

“I am [name], a resident of [city, state]. I was injured by my COVID-19 vaccine on [date] and suffered [brief description of reaction]. I did what the government and my community asked of me and got vaccinated — now I need my government to make it right. [I went from healthy and working, to debilitated and unable to work.] I'm one of over 40,000 members at React19, a nationwide vaccine injury advocacy organization, and many of us are residents of this state.

I've been suffering for [length of time] with no financial support, because the federal compensation program for COVID-19 vaccine injuries — the CICP — has a rejection rate above 98%. [My claim was submitted over x years ago and I still haven't heard back.]

I am requesting [Representative's name] co-sponsor the Vaccine Injury Compensation Modernization Act of 2026, introduced by Representatives Smucker and Doggett.”

Always thank them for their time.

If they want more info on the compensation bill: “Details are available at react19.org/cicp. This legislation matters for people who need compensation to keep a roof over their heads, food on the table, and access to essential medical care. We've been waiting years — we can't wait any longer.”
