What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?

I was a fully functional, full time working adult, single mom of two teenage daughters. I was a very active, and multi-tasking individual. I have spent the past two decades working in Clinical Trial Research, mostly in the Texas Medical Center. At the time of injury, I was working for a company which was working on Clinical Trials related to the COVID-19 vaccine, so my knowledge is deep in this topic. It was terrifying to know that the FDA was allowing these vaccines to be administered in a heard population without valid supporting data. Many people within the science community refused to take the vaccine, knowing the possible damage this was going to cause in the long run. I was never tested positive for COVID-19.

Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.

I am a 45-year-old female. My symptoms began shortly after the vaccine was administered, I have to take days off from work and work flexible hours, because I was so ill. I felt as though I was going through a terrible flu. I have been in and out of the hospital several times, my first hospitalization took place in July 2021. Since then, my symptoms have gotten worse and include the following: neuropathic pain (specially on the left side); high blood pressure, double vision (consistent visual disturbances), brain fog, extreme fatigue, memory and cognitive setbacks (remembering things to do, names of places, things, or ideas, unable to multi-task, problems with long conversations, memory loss,), exercise intolerance, muscle weakness, Tingling, sleep disturbance, joint pain, severe anxiety (currently a patient in an outpatient Trauma clinic), insomnia, shortness of breath, persistent headache (migraine) (never had them before in my life), muscle twitching, heaviness in legs (I use a Cain, walker or wheel chair) at all times, sound sensitivity (cannot be in loud places or with many conversations going on around me), Nausea due to migraine, frequent urination (neurogenic bladder dysfunction, loss of bladder control, which I did not have before), light sensitivity due to the migraines, heart burn, extreme increased thirst, heat intolerance (very difficult to do aquatic therapy (which is the only therapy I can do) due to the water temperature), very dry eyes, hand tremors, random skin rashes, hair loss in patches on the scalp, excessive gas, constipation (need to take something every day), random swelling of body parts, persistent cough, bulging veins in my legs occasionally, Glucose level fluctuates, had partial face paralysis which has mostly be resolved now, weight gain, Jaw pain and swelling on right side of cheek, sometimes I have difficulty with speech, sometimes I feel there is something heavy sitting on my chest, restless legs, high D-Dimer, Menorrhagia with regular cycle, Major depression, hospitalized for Systematic Inflammatory Response Syndrome, Occipital Neuralgia, Fibromyalgia, PTSID, Facet Syndrome/Degenerative Disc Disease, Pelvic and Perineal pain. ALL TESTS CONDUCTED HAVE COME BACK EITHER NEGATIVE OR NORMAL. Yet, I continue to get worse.

Describe the solutions that helped your symptoms

Nothing has helped. I have on 11 pills a day and need to use devices to be able to move around and function.

Which solutions were not helpful?

CBT (doctor told me to make myself visualize and believe that I was healing); All medications prescribed so far, and now my insurance won't cover the newer non-generic medications.

What would you like others to know?

I felt so alone and the doctor's laughed at me and told me that it was stress. Every time I was hospitalized, I was ready to die, I thought this must be it. I prepared my will and my family for the worst-case scenarios. A terrible thing to have to discuss with your parents who are in their 70's and my daughters (19 and 16). I am glad REACT-19 is here and providing support and information. I see 9 specialists on a regular basis, and no one can tell me what is happening to me and how to get better. No one wants to talk about COVID-19 vaccine injury. So, now I am talking about it, and I no longer care that it makes my medical team uncomfortable.
