What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?

I had fibromyalgia since 2009, so I lived with pain and fatigue everyday, but it was managed well with daily Cymbalta. Other than that I would say I was healthy. I am a retail pharmacist and was working 40-50 hours a week and exercised 3-4 times a week

Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.

Within 10 minutes of receiving the Moderna vaccine my tongue swelled up and I had trouble swallowing. I was treated with two doses of Benadryl at the health dept where I got the vaccine and continued Benadryl for 24 hours. About a month later I began to have extreme fatigue, itching all over my body, extremely irritated eyes( felt like they were rubbed raw), pain in my joints , brain fog and pain in my left breast. All of these symptoms have continued.

Describe the solutions that helped your symptoms

I have been recently diagnosed with Sjogren’s, inflammatory arthritis and small fiber neuropathy. So far I have not found much that has helped these issues. I have found that Wellbutrin has helped to give me some wnergy. Keppra has helped with some of the neuropathy.

Which solutions were not helpful?

Gabapentin/Lyrica-caused too much drowsiness Methotrexate made more more fatigued and nauseous

What would you like others to know?

I would like others to know the vaccine can cause injury and for those who have been injured, that they are not alone.
