What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?

Never had skin issues before CoVid vaccine. Now chronic spontaneous urticaria with angioedema. Lethargic from multiple daily antihistamines. On monthly Xolair injections that are helpful but still have skin sensitivity daily. Difficult to enjoy life. Stressed out daily.

Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.

11/27/21 extreme skin sensitivity and itching. 12/4 /21 inflammation back of my neck. And extreme itching all over.. 12/18/21 Hives back of neck in morning and full body hives end the day. Called doctor after Hives turned to angioedema .

Describe the solutions that helped your symptoms

Kenalog injections along with antihistamine cocktail. Temporary relief. Started Xolair monthly injections May3, 2022 . Currently waiting for approval to increase to every 3 weeks. Benadryl daily but difficult to function.

Which solutions were not helpful?

Antihistamines by itself doesn’t give enough relief to function. Impossible to wear clothes due to skin sensitivity. The combination of Xolair, multiple antihistamines and a Kenalog injection will last for 3-4 weeks. Still have skin sensitivity. Low histamine diet not helpful.

What would you like others to know?
