Emma Burkey

What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?

I am writing this on behalf of my daughter, Emma Burkey. Before the J&J Vaccine, Emma was a perfectly healthy 18 year old. She was a senior in high-school where she maintained a 4.4 GPA, all while working as a nanny for our pastor's 3 little boys, volunteering in the church nursery, and working part time as a job cost clerk. She was looking forward to our trip to Hawaii in June to celebrate her high school graduation and attending college in the fall. She loves the beach and children, and she got the vaccine because it was being marketed as a way to keep children safe.

Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.

She received the shot on March 20th, 2021. During the first week and a half she experienced intermittent nausea, rapid heart rate, and headache, all of which they told her to expect when she received the vaccine. In the early morning hours of April 2nd, she said her brain felt like it was vibrating. She vomited in bed, and had her first seizure. She was rushed by ambulance to the hospital, where they said she had a small brain bleed. The bleeds continued and she developed Venous Sinus Thrombosis. Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST) occurs when a blood clot forms in the brain’s venous sinuses. This prevents blood from draining out of the brain. As a result, blood cells break and leak blood into the brain tissues, forming a hemorrhage. She was treated with heparin for the clots, which caused more hemorrhages. The CDC and J&J would not answer the frantic calls from her doctors. On April 2nd, she was seizing constantly, her temperature shot up to 103, and her heart rate was in the 180's. Her heart looked like it was beating out of her chest. They started her on heart meds, and doubled the seizure meds. They put her in a medically induced coma and intubated her. On April 3rd, she had her first of 3 brain surgeries to try and open the Venous Sinus. They took her off the sedation meds and waited for her to wake up. She did not. On April 5th, her platelets were trending down, and they performed a 2nd brain surgery. The doctors met with us and said she was in grave danger and they did not have any answers or further treatment to offer. They said it was caused by the J&J Vaccine, but they received no guidance from them on how to treat her, to save her life. They wanted our permission to put her case out for all hospitals in the country to see if anyone thought they could help her. Loma Linda University accepted her case on April 6th and she was put on a flight for life within hours of the decision. Emma would open her eyes, but not follow commands. Her heart rate reached dangerous levels when they tried to remove sedation, so they added pain medication. They decided ;to perform her 3rd brain surgery, her first surgery in Loma Linda. She was in their Critical Intensive Care Neurological unit. On April 10th. when she was sedated, she did good when exercising her lungs, but when the doctors took her off the pain medication to wake her up so she can get off the vent, her heart rate rises to dangerous levels. The doctors say she had an awareness when they try to ween her off, but she is not full consciousness. By awareness, when they pinched her, she furrowed her little brows and cried. She was covered in bruises. On April 12th she had surgery to put in a tracheotomy and feeding tube. On April 13th we were told her brain injury affected her ability to regulate her heart rate and ability to swallow, Her throat filled up with saliva and she choked. On April 15th, she responded to me, the best day of my life. She stuck out her tongue. She could not move any part of her body other than her tongue, but until that point, from all of the seizures, we feared she would be a vegetable if she even woke up. April 17th she was moved out of CICU to ICU. On April 30th, Emma was transferred to the Acute Rehab Unit at Loma Linda, She was a quadriplegic. When we arrived, she could only slightly shrug one shoulder. She could not move any other part of her body whatsoever. She was almost kicked out of therapy after the first week because she was too sick to be there. She kept vomiting, and we found that her stomach was not able to process food. Adjustments were made to her feeding schedule, and she was able to stay. She endured hundreds of hours of therapy while there and was sent home mid July, 2021. She then began therapy (OT, PT, 6 hours a day, which continues over 1 1/2 years later. No college, No trip to Hawaii, No babies to hold. Just therapy, where she fights to be able to walk, write, take care of her own personal hygiene. She is only 19 years old.

Emma's story garnered national attention in April. of 2021 The J&J Vaccine was paused because 6 others suffered the same catastrophic reaction, at least one resulted in death. Reporters were calling for interviews, camping out at the hospital. When the pause was lifted, it was like everyone was brainwashed. No more reporting on the life threatening injuries caused from the vaccines. Doctor's were not allowed to diagnose the vaccine as the cause of sudden illnesses in perfectly healthy people. They said that Emma's case was "one in a million", but we know better. The truth will come out.

Describe the solutions that helped your symptoms

We thank God for saving Emma, and we continue to pray for her complete healing. We thank the doctors who were knowledgeable and brave enough to call out the vaccine for causing her 4 strokes. She was just taken off of the seizure medication. She continues to take heart medication, muscle relaxants, blood thinner, and she receives Botox injections every 3 months to help lessen the tone in her left foot, leg, arm, and hand.

What would you like others to know?

Do not get the J&J Vaccine. Do not be pressured by threats from the government, doctors, employers, or anyone to inject anything into your body, no matter how "safe" they say it is. They said Emma was "one in a million", but we know that there are thousands suffering from the effects of the "vaccines". There is strength in numbers, and the truth will come out.
