I received my second Pfizer dose on 3/26/21. Less than a week later, I lost 60% of my hair due to an autoimmune disease called Alopecia Areata, that I didn’t have prior to vaccination, nor do I have a family history of this disease. About a month after that, I started experiencing intense joint pain and I’m now on the path of a rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis. I am devastated at the fact that despite the fact that I am insured, I have paid for all of my treatments out of pocket, along with trying to find a doctor that will listen to me. This whole process has been exhausting. I would get another dose of the vaccine tomorrow if it meant eradicating this virus, but I’m so sad that it came to this. I have no family history of this kind of hair loss. The pain I am in is unbearable, to the point that I cannot get a job using my own hands, nor can I do the things that I could do prior to COVID-19 existing. I am miserable.
