Vaccine Injury of Sharon Morissette

What was your life like before you received the COVID-19 vaccine?

I was/am retired from my law enforcement position. I contracted a mild case of COVID early in 2020, before there were lockdowns or masks or vaccines. I was struggling with long COVID symptoms, which were later identified as Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, now understood to be a common long COVID condition. I had no known allergies other than nickel and had never had outdoor allergies. I spent the summer of 2020 following my COVID infection outdoors repairing and refinishing my deck. Pre-COVID, my retirement plans included extensive travel.

Describe the symptoms and the timeline of the reaction.

I received the Pfizer vaccine on 03/25/2021, 05/15/2021, and 09/15/2021. There were no issues the first two times. After the 3rd dose, I began coughing and wheezing when I went outdoors. Often, it was immediate and severe. I was seeing an immunologist for my post COVID Mast Cell disorder. I was tested for allergies and found to have a 4 (on a zero to 4 scale) reaction to Alternaria, an airborne mold. Alternaria is not avoidable. It is everywhere all year round. I was prescribed an asthma inhaler and advised to take Allegra twice a day, which I have done for over 2 years. It may or may not lessen the severity of the allergic symptoms - I have no way of knowing for sure. What I do know is that a breeze in the air leaves me incapacitated, with wheezing, coughing, headaches, vertigo, nausea, and fatigue. I check both air quality and wind levels on my weather app before I go anywhere. I have air purifiers running -24/7 indoors, I mask, use an inhaler, and only use recirculated air in the car when I have to leave the house. My life is being ruined by an allergy I never had until my 3rd dose of the Pfizer vaccine.

Which solutions were not helpful?

Avoid the allergen. How? Avoid breathing?

What would you like others to know?

There is now research identifying the part of the mRNA vaccine manufacturing process that can cause unintended protein(s) to be delivered, which can cause immune reactions. A correction to the manufacturing process has also been identified which would stop this error from occurring. Pfizer's response to this research was the same generic "proven to be safe" statement they have always had. Moderna refused to comment.
